Expert

So I have talked to my expert on the topic of senioritis. My expert on senioritis is the drop out counselor because she knows what happens when senioritis takes over the mind. Her name is Mrs. Brown and she gave great advice on how to structure our project. She wants us to ask teachers about how senioritis affects the kids they teach, and then talk to kids with the senioritis and see why it is such a common problem. "Are these group of seniors all hanging out with each other?" We need to get to the bottom of senioritis and Mrs. Brown has influenced the way we are going to fight it off!

So one thing I learned from senioritis is that it kind of feels like you're charging up. It's almost as if the longer you put things behind you the harder you will work in the end. I have been so much more focused then how I was four weeks ago. If you charge up to long though it's almost as if you're burning yourself out. It becomes to a point where you know it's not possible to pass and I have seen it first hand. Seniors just decide not to go to school because they know they can't save there grades. I won't let that happen as long as I can try to maintain all my grades. I feel like senioritis is starting to make me age faster and I don't like it.
So on Thursday Cecilia and I talked with the drop out counselor. We did this for her opinions on what senioritis is and how to treat/prevent it. We got some good ideas and she helped structure our project. All we need to do now is finish our power point presentation for the juniors and ask Brock if he would let us present it to them. Cecilia and I know how crippling senioritis can be and want to make it a thing of the past. It's time for someone to educate PV on senioritis and end it there for good.
So now that I am finally getting on track and realizing that I am fully capable of passing senior year I started working on my online art class. I was about 45% done with it and to be on target I had to be at 78%. I was very intimidated due to the fact I was so behind in that class. So on Monday I decided to attempt it due to the pressure my mom is putting on me to graduate and it seemed like the more focused I became the faster I was going. This week alone I went from 45% completed to 80%. I am extremely satisfied because senioritis has been hitting me so hard. I know now how to overcome senioritis so Cecilia and I need to help the younger generation avoid the problem for good.

Senioritis is definitely a mind set. Two weeks ago I just accepted reality that I was going to fail this English class. I talked to some inspirational people that believed in me and now I feel like failing is not an option. I forgot everything I have worked for since five years old. Even if summer school is an option why would you want to take it.
Honestly you feel like a better person when you make people happy. If you don't graduate on time you are letting down the people around you. Imagine how your parents feel when they tell their co-workers and family that you failed your last semester. That's just not smart, but at the time you get caught up in all the fun. Fun is good but stay focused their is a future that you have been preparing for since five. Don't let this one semester weigh you down.

So Cecilia and I need to work on the slideshow to inform the younger class about Senioritis. Well... We have put this off for some time, and the reason is because we never have time. We have put everything else before this slide show and honestly this is probably the most important thing we need to finish right now. Cecilia and I really need to live up to our words and get rid of this senioritis already.
We have done three slides in about two weeks. If we could just finish the slideshow in one day which I know we can we could get the word out. Senioritis is similar to a disease, and they say the only cure is graduation. I disagree with that because it can be a different form of senioritis just related to a job or whatever you will due out of school. Stay on task younger generation.
Mission statement: To inform the public of this terrible disorder high school students face every year, and to provide a basic understanding of how to fight it and prevent it.
This is my mission statement for my project. Since I have  not gone to any classes to talk about this I have some catching up to do. I think I am starting to handle senioritis relatively well due to the fact that I am actually working on this project. The more I keep pushing the easier it seems to get my work done. I think senioritis is just stressing about all the work you have you feel like if you attempt it you're not going to accomplish much, but in reality if you attempt your work it actually is a lot easier to do than you think.
